We are South Australia’s sole electricity distributor, delivering power to around 850,000 homes and businesses across the State. Recently, we have been through the regulatory process with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) to determine our revenue for the 2015 – 2020 regulatory period.
The Regulator made a final determination on 29 October 2015. This was based on our proposal for improving, maintaining and operating the distribution network to meet the needs of the South Australian community, which was influenced by the engagement we undertook with consumers.
Why are we talking to consumers?
During the regulatory process, the views and concerns of electricity consumers and stakeholders helped us understand customer concerns and priorities as we planned the distribution network. These informed our directions and priorities as we developed our proposal. Now that we have finished our formal engagement program in relation to the 2015 – 2020 regulatory period, we will continue to engage with customers and stakeholders on issues important to them.
‘Talking Power’ is the name we use to describe our engagement activities. Wherever you see this name, you will know it’s in relation to our efforts to engage with our consumers.
